CM71b - The CM Band

**Computer Music Sample Disk - The CM Band**
We've spent days in the studio beavering away to provide you with a set of truly professional samples and presets that will put a whole band at your fingertips.

You'll find DS-404, Kontakt, Reason NN-XT and HALion patches all pre-rolled and ready to rock.

Acoustic Piano
A 1967 Baldwin Acrosonic upright piano was tracked with a pair of exquisite Schoeps 222 tube microphones. These were run through a Great River MP2NV preamp and we think you'll agree that the results are simply amazing.

Rhodes 77 Electric Piano
Our Rhodes was amped up with a Vox AC30 amplifier, miked up with a Coles 4038 ribbon mic and a Neumann M149 into a pair of API 312 preamps, then pumped through a Manley lbs electro-optical limiter. That's quite a kit list -and those mics alone cost more than some new cars!

Vintage Upright Bass
We tracked a vintage upright bass with a Neumann TLM 103 and a Focusrite preamp.

Guitar Heaven
The acoustic guitar made use of the Neumann TLM 103 and a CAD E-200. For the electric, we miked up the amp with a ShureSM57 and the TLM 103 through the Focusrite preamps. This combination provided a wonderfully rich and resonant tone that should stand out nicely in a mix.

Installation Guidelines:
DS-404 users:
If you are using DS-404, all of the samples are bundled in the DS-404 files which you will find in the folder named 'DS-404 Patches'. Just copy the entire contents of the DS-404 Patches folder onto your hard drive and load the patches as normal.

Other sampler brands
You should copy the entire contents of the 'CMDisk 2' folder to your hard drive before you do anything else. Use explorer or finder to copy the folder from the disk to a suitable place on your system.

. . . Kontakt:
The Kontakt .nki files can be found in the Kontakt Patches Folder. These small files only list references to the samples, and do not contain the samples themselves. Therefore its relative position to the samples folders should remain intact. When you load a patch into Kontakt, you will probably be asked to find the file manually. Click on Find and point it to the sample it is requesting, then click 'Use this folder for remaining samples also" (?) and it will do the rest.

. . . HALion:
If you are using HALion 1 or 2, you need to keep the relative position between the Halion Patches folder and the sample patches folder intact. HALion should load the patches without any bother.

. . . NN-XT
Again, NN-XT should have no problem locating the samples as long as you keep the directory structure of the 'CMDisk 2' folder intact.
